TAT India has formulated a special scheme to be launched specially for the Wedding Tourism segment. Under this scheme, if the couple gets married in Thailand, TAT will sponsor the honeymoon for the couple. According to Chattan Kunjara Na Ayudhya, Director, TAT, "This scheme is an India specific initiative and we are looking at starting this scheme from October this year and continue it till September 2010." Thailand at the moment facilitates close to 30 to 40 big weddings a year and with the introduction of this scheme, it intends to considerably increase the number of weddings celebrated in Thailand.
