Hiran Cooray, Chairman-Elect of PATA for 2010-11

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) has announced Hiran Cooray, the Chairman of the JETWING brand as its Chairman Elect for 2010-11. Hiran Cooray has been bestowed this honour at the Annual General Meeting of PATA, held in April. This is the first time a Sri Lankan will take up this high office, in PATA.
Hiran Cooray has served PATA since 1996 and has received several awards for his outstanding work. He also had the distinction of serving as Vice President of the Asia Pacific region, of the International Hotels and Restaurants Association based in Paris. An Immediate Past President of the Tourist Hotels Association of Sri Lanka (THASL), he has also been conferred the title of ‘Sri Lanka Sikhamani’.
