Uncork World-Class Wines Along the Niagara Wine Trail

In Niagara USA, there's more to experience than just the Falls. In this "all American" destination, history, romance, family attractions and gaming combine to form the ideal vacation, group and meetings destination.
Wine in Niagara USA doesn't flow quite as rapidly as the Falls, but the region certainly has no shortage of spirits. From pinot noir to fruity selections to ice wines, Niagara USA's wineries-nestled between the Niagara Escarpment and Lake Ontario-are gaining distinction for their delectable offerings. Thirteen family-owned wineries comprise the Niagara Wine Trail. Traversing the trail by car, visitors can discover they varying techniques for winemaking, taste the offerings of the vintners and meet the families that run the operations that produce some of Niagara USA's most delicious products.

Arrowhead Spring Vineyards
Arrowhead, a family-owned and operated boutique winery specializes in dry red wine. Offerings also include Riesling, Chardonnay and Ice wine. The winery's 2005 Vidal Ice wine was rated 90 by Wine Spectator.
Eveningside Vineyards
Discover a gravity-driven process for winemaking at Eveningside Vineyards, which specializes in wines produced from gently pressed grapes, giving the wine a semblance of European flair.
Freedom Run
At this winery, visitors can learn about modern wine production techniques and relax in a scenic tasting room overlooking the Niagara Escarpment. Freedom Run offers vinifera as well as their own hybrid and native grapes from the Niagara Escarpment Region.
Honeymoon Trail Winery
Located on the historic Honeymoon Trail, known know as Route 104, which leads to the honeymoon capital of the world - Niagara Falls, this winery features wines produced using only New York-grown ingredients. The gift shop offers an array of gourmet cheeses and fine chocolates.
Schulze Vineyards & Winery
Located on the Southern shore of Lake Ontario, this estate winery grows a high quality of grapes for award winning still and sparkling wines.
Spring Lake at Varallo Vineyards
Enjoy the 78-acre Park and lake, with walking trail wine tastings and vineyard tours.
The Niagara Wine Trail offers themed wine tours year-round. The Village Wine Tours in Lewiston offers a luxury wine tasting and touring experience. Village Wine Tours (www.villagewinetours.com) provides chauffeured limousine service for five hours, with stops at four wineries, a narrated tour at one winery, lunch at the Vizcarra Vineyard, and a snack and wine basket, for USD64 per person (a minimum of eight people per group is required). The Niagara Tourism and Convention Corporation (NTCC) is Niagara County's official, state-authorized Tourism Promotion Agency.
