Dubai based health tourism player ‘Oceanic HealthPlus’ (OHP) with significant presence in the UK and Middle East, is to hit Indian market with its innovative preventive healthcare tourism packages.

Oceanic HealthPlus has already entered into strategic associations with leading Indian healthcare organizations towards this objective. “We will be launching the India operations with a formal launch very soon,” confirmed Venu Menon, Chief Executive Officer of OHP.

“Being unique in approach and modus operandi, we are confident to drive greater numbers of medical tourists to India, especially to Kerala. Our focus on the preventive healthcare packages is targeted to provide the international travellers a convenient introduction to the Indian system of health care practices and thus preparing them to return to India for their repeat health visits;” says Menon.

Rather than focusing on the treatment part, the company plans to focus on the “diagnostic” aspect on the first phase. Travellers to the Indian subcontinent are lured to take health check-ups at their convenience while enjoying leisure at the exotic locations of this country. The state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities equipped with global accreditation standards make India an acceptable location for global tourists to go for a health check-up without any apprehension.

On the second phase, company targets to beguile a happy and convinced tourist to come back to India for his/her repeat health visits. India, with its world class medical care facilities will be able to provide ‘first world’ medical care at ‘third world” costs; while its alluring nature renders tranquility to the body and soul which will act as the right booster doze to the patient.

Oceanic HealthPlus has associated with 3 hospitals in Kerala so far; KIMS in Thiruvanantha-puram, Lakeshore Hospital in Kochi and MIMS in Kozhikode. Wockhardt Hospitals in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Kolkota and Apollo Hospital Ahmadabad is also part of the network of hospitals in India. Premier dental clinics like Dr. Rajkrishnan’s Dental Clinic in Thrippunithura and a number of ayurvedic resorts across Kerala are also part of the network. The company is in the process of discussions with many of the leading healthcare establishments for possible association.••
